Here’s the Truth About Money Mantras
If you’re new to practices such as yoga, meditation, and visualization, you’ve likely run across mantras during your research. All the different aspects of meditation can feel overwhelming at first–there are many ways to enhance your practice, relax your body, and clear your mind.
With all these options to consider and try, you may wonder if mantras are actually effective meditation tools. After all, it seems like the yoga instructors are just chanting and repeating sounds, words, and phrases….is this really supposed to benefit your meditative practices? The science says yes!
What is a money mantra and do they really work?
The answer is yes and no. The mantra itself is not going to magically make you rich, but it can help you with your mindset when it comes to money. A lot of people have negative thoughts about wealth because they don’t think they deserve it or they have had some bad experiences with money in their life. The mantra can help get rid of those negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones.
It’s also important to note that a lot of these mantras are not just said verbally, but repeated silently in your head as well as aloud when appropriate.

Once the mind is clear, the practitioner can then focus on their chosen object of meditation..
Once the physical body is calmed, mantras make an appearance to begin calming the mind. Just as your steady and even breath will relax your body, repeating your mantra will ease your mind into relaxation. The act of repeating a mantra is soothing and can help to quiet any racing thoughts or anxiousness you may be feeling. Over time, with regular practice, you may find that simply hearing your mantra can be enough to bring about a sense of calm.
At this point, your mind and body will feel aligned and in sync with meditation, opening your mind to explore depths far beyond your normal consciousness. Here’s the place where your money mantra can start to really take effect.
