With all these options to consider and try, you may wonder if mantras are actually effective meditation tools. After all, it seems like the yoga instructors are just chanting and repeating sounds, words, and phrases….is this really supposed to benefit your meditative practices? The science says yes!

What is a money mantra and do they really work?

The answer is yes and no. The mantra itself is not going to magically make you rich, but it can help you with your mindset when it comes to money. A lot of people have negative thoughts about wealth because they don’t think they deserve it or they have had some bad experiences with money in their life. The mantra can help get rid of those negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones.

It’s also important to note that a lot of these mantras are not just said verbally, but repeated silently in your head as well as aloud when appropriate.

For example: “I am rich” or “My actions bring financial success”

Money mantras are a set of words that you repeat to yourself in order to bring about the desired change. They are usually repeated out loud, but can also be whispered or just thought.

The power of money mantras is that they work on the subconscious mind and help you to change your thoughts about money. Repeating them over and over again will eventually make you feel more positive about money, as well as other aspects of your life.

Some people say that money mantras don’t work because they have tried them before and nothing has happened. However, it is likely that they did not follow through with them long enough for the desired change to occur.

Mantras help focus your mind on entering and remaining in a meditative state.

The people using the mantras are frequently repeating the same phrases while observing their meditation. According to yoga International, many people who meditate attempt to explore within themselves and learn about their inner lives. To attain the objective of understanding their consciousnesses, they use patis to center their minds for deeper exploration.

Meditative practices often begin with relaxed and steady, focused breathing to bring the physical body into a calm state. The goal of this is to clear the mind of distractions and allow the practitioner to focus on the present moment. Once the mind is clear, the practitioner can then focus on their chosen object of meditation..

Once the physical body is calmed, mantras make an appearance to begin calming the mind. Just as your steady and even breath will relax your body, repeating your mantra will ease your mind into relaxation. The act of repeating a mantra is soothing and can help to quiet any racing thoughts or anxiousness you may be feeling. Over time, with regular practice, you may find that simply hearing your mantra can be enough to bring about a sense of calm.

At this point, your mind and body will feel aligned and in sync with meditation, opening your mind to explore depths far beyond your normal consciousness. Here’s the place where your money mantra can start to really take effect.
