Living Your Life With Awareness



John Kabbat-Zim is a very well known voice in the world of meditation and the scientific research that backs up the benefits of meditation.  In this video, he is posed with the question “What is meditation?”  and his answer is intriguing.  He defines it as ‘living your life as if it really mattered’ and living your life with awareness.  Kabbat-Zim also discusses how meditation can break down the veil that separates you from your real self and allot you to see and feel the totality of your being and your connectedness to all life.   Spending time in silence helps you to also learn how to live in the present moment only. So often, when we are in the “now” we are really somewhere else, focused on our own issues about what happened or is going to happen and very rarely in the true-ness of living NOW.
