When your meditation technique takes you into nature, you are connecting with a tradition thousands of years old.

A wonderful meditation technique for beginners is to simply focus on a detail in nature and create awareness and connection to the present moment.

Author Kurt Remmington is promoting his new book, Simple Meditation: A Spiritual Connection for Transforming Your Life, which is available at Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com or through local bookstores.

For years, author Curt Remington escaped stress by retreating into nature and focusing on the wind in the trees, the sound of waves, or a spectacular view. It didn’t occur to Remington that he was meditating. After a year of clairvoyant training and studying a variety of meditation techniques, it became clear those moments in nature were effective meditations. He shares these nature-based techniques and many more meditations, including ones he developed, in his highly readable guidebook, Simple Meditation: A Spiritual Connection for Transforming Your Life. In this book, Remington claims that meditation can provide many benefits beyond just relaxation.

For many thousands of years, most meditation techniques were practiced outdoors, in nature, so it makes perfect sense that Remington’s  book would re-introduce this most basic of meditation techniques for beginners and experienced meditators alike.
