Insights About Connecting With Your Higher Self

Connect with Your Higher Self: Step-by-Step Meditation Instructions
Step 1: Settle into Comfort and Begin Your Journey
Find a position that feels most natural and comfortable to you.
This could be sitting cross-legged on the floor, lying down, or sitting in a chair with your feet grounded. Once you’re settled, softly close your eyes.
Start by allowing your awareness to drift inward.
Focus on the rhythm of your breath, feeling it move in and out of your body. Notice the weight of gravity pulling you down, grounding you. Allow any unnecessary tension in your muscles to melt away, releasing control. In this moment, your only job is to relax.
Let yourself be completely present, accepting yourself as you are right now, without judgment or the need to change anything. Let your breath flow naturally, however it comes.
Step 2: Tune Into Your High Heart Center
Now, gently bring your awareness to the area just behind your sternum, between your heart and throat.
This is where the top of your sternum is located, a hard bone that you can feel with your fingertips. If it feels right, you can press or rub this area gently, bringing more attention to it.
Imagine your awareness moving a couple of inches inward from this point.
Here, visualize a soft bluish-green orb of light. This light represents your high heart, the bridge between your heart and your throat chakra, a powerful center of love and communication.
Step 3: Visualize the Bluish-Green Light
As you focus on this space, see the bluish-green orb of light growing brighter.
Notice its soft pulses, shifting between different shades of blue and green. Trust what you see in your mind’s eye, and observe this light with love and compassion.
This is a sacred space within you.
Set a strong intention to connect more deeply with your higher self—the aspect of you that knows your true essence across all lifetimes and dimensions. Feel the warmth and nurturing energy of this light as it glows within you.
Step 4: Invite Your Higher Self to Join You
Imagine that above you hovers a shapeless, all-loving energy.
This is your higher self, the part of you that is connected to the highest and most loving perspective. Visualize this energy, perhaps as a brilliant orb of light, lowering down towards you.
It gently enters through the top of your head, moving down through the space between your eyebrows (your third eye), down to the base of your brain, then through your throat, and finally settling into your high heart.
Feel the presence of your higher self resting here, supporting and encouraging you.
This connection is pure, loving, and always available to you.
Step 5: Anchor the Connection in Your High Heart
As you become aware of this connection, feel a strong “Yes” energy within you.
This is the affirmation of your higher self anchoring into your high heart.
Visualize this connection as a clasp or a button that locks securely into place within your high heart.
Take a deep, nourishing breath into this space and release it slowly. Spend a few breaths just feeling the strength of this connection, knowing that you are now deeply linked with your higher self.
Step 6: Align Your Desires with Your Higher Self
In this deeply connected state, begin to ask yourself what you want in your current life.
Then, ask what your higher self wants for you. Feel for a place of alignment, where both desires meet in harmony.
This might be a sensation of warmth or a gentle “Yes” in your high heart. Visualize a giant, glowing button in your high heart energy center.
When you feel ready, mentally press this button, activating and strengthening the link between you and your higher self.
This is the moment where your personal desires and your higher self’s wisdom align.
Step 7: Address a Specific Life Circumstance
Bring to mind a specific situation or challenge you are facing in your life.
Hold it gently in your awareness, without judgment.
Ask yourself, “What do I want to do about this?”
Receive the answer with an open heart.
Then ask, “What does my higher self want to do?”
Feel that answer arise from within you, possibly from a deeper, more aligned place.
Allow both perspectives to merge, finding a balanced middle ground that feels right.
Picture you and your higher self celebrating this agreement within your high heart, as if you are shaking hands and saying,
“Yes, this is the next step forward.”
Step 8: Gently Close the Meditation
When you feel complete, begin to bring your awareness back to your body.
Gently roll your shoulders, wiggle your fingers and toes, and slowly open your eyes.
Stay connected to the feeling of your higher self within your high heart as you re-enter your day.
Carry this sense of connection with you, letting it guide your actions and decisions.
The more you practice this meditation, the stronger your connection will become, and the more aligned your life will feel.
By making this meditation a regular practice, you will transform each day into an opportunity for deeper connection with your higher self. Over time, this connection will bring more peace, clarity, and joy into your life, making each moment more meaningful.
